River City Choppers of Langley BC is pleased to announce that they have received “Flight Authority” from Transport Canada for a EC 120 Helicopter equipped with the “FLIR EVS3” camera. The system uses a 2.9 lb thermal imaging camera complimented by “FLIGHT DISPLAY SYSTEMS” FD90AID-HMT 5 inch LCD display.

The EVS3 provides a clear view of obstacles and terrain in poor lighting and visibility. The FD90AID also offers additional inputs for moving maps or other uses.

The EVS3 offers a system that is affordable for general aviation. STCs are pending for several light and intermediate helicopters.
